INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

EU Regulation 679/2016 (which repeals the previous Legislative Decree 196/2003) with entry into force on 25 May 2018.

PRIVACY POLICY

This information describes the data management methods of the website www.gmte.it, and is provided pursuant to EU Regulation 679/2016

 

The information is provided by Gaglione MTE S.r.l., with headquarters in Via Carminiello, 9 – 80058 – Torre Annunziata (NA), Italy, as data controller of the data collected through the aforementioned site (other websites or electronic spaces owned by third parties accessible through links, even if present on the pages of this site).

 

Personal information we collect from users and how we process it:

– Browsing data: we collect personal information on visits to the website, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs, contact forms, as well as other communication data. We may also save cookies, as described in more detail in the Cookie Policy.

– Data provided voluntarily by users: we will collect all the information provided by users when sending contact forms (for example “Contacts”, “Work with us”) and in particular Name, Surname, e-mail address, Tax Code, Number telephone number, Province, VAT number, Company name. Providing personal information via our contact forms is not a legal or contractual requirement; however, please note that fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields, as we need this information to fulfill or respond to your request. Other information or personal information is shared when completing contact forms at the user’s discretion. If you contact us, we will keep a record of such correspondence.

– Purpose of the processing for sending periodic newsletters: with the explicit consent of the interested party we may use the personal information for the direct sending of marketing via e-mail if this option is foreseen and has been accepted in the relevant contact form or in the Newsletter subscription form. You can decide to no longer receive marketing communications at any time by requesting removal from the service at any time using the links in the emails received.

 

How we use personal information

Personal data will be collected and processed by us for the following purposes:

– to answer to your requests or questions via text message or email or by telephone;

– to allow us to provide services if the site is designed for this purpose or manage any orders in the case of an e-commerce site;

We do not make automated decisions solely on the basis of automatic processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects on you or has other similar consequences.

 

We will retain your information for as long as necessary to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations.

The retention period of personal information depends on the purpose for which the data is processed and the tools with which such personal information is processed. It is not possible to indicate the retention period in a reasonably intelligible manner in this Policy. The criteria used to determine the applicable retention period are: we will retain the personal information covered by this information for the time (i) necessary for the relevant purpose, (ii) necessary for the completion of the business relationship with the user, (iii) accepted by the user and/or (iv) required by applicable laws.

 

Sharing with third parties

To facilitate efficient use of information and to provide users with content and/or services, information may be disclosed to third parties. However, such disclosure will only occur in the following circumstances:

– to suppliers, contractors and agents: we may occasionally involve or use other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf, for example hosting and/or maintaining the contents of the website or providing certain functions therein contained, or to the couriers who will have to deliver the goods ordered in case of purchase on E-Commerce, or the provision of marketing services. Recipients will have access to personal information only to the extent required to carry out their functions, and will not be able to use it for other purposes. The recipients will be held to contractual confidentiality obligations.

On our site we use Google Analytics to know how many people read our posts and which pages they visit.
However, the IPs of those who visit the site are anonymous.

IP addresses and cookies

We collect information about your computer, including (where available) your IP address, operating system and browser version, for system administration. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and behaviors, which does not identify individuals. For the same reason, we can obtain information on the use that users make of the internet in general, through a cookie file that is stored on the device. Where personal information is stored and processed.

As explained in the previous paragraph “Sharing with third parties”, we share personal information with:

– Third party suppliers, contractors or agents: where we use third party suppliers, contractors or agents, your personal information remains under our control and we have systems in place to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected.

We undertake to take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy.

 

We do not transfer data outside the European Union

Your personal data will be processed in one or more countries within the European Union. We will not transfer or give away your data outside the EU and if it becomes necessary in the future, we will ask for your explicit consent before proceeding. In any case, countries will be chosen that the European Commission considers to offer an adequate level of protection.

 

Data security

Although we will do everything possible to protect your personal information, we inform you that the provision of information via the internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of personal data transmitted to the website or to third parties; for this reason, any transmission of data occurs at the user’s own risk. We will apply strict operating procedures and appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent any unauthorized access, modification, deletion or transmission of such personal information.

 

User rights. How you can access, correct and delete your personal information.

– access and obtain a copy of your personal data: you have the right to request confirmation that we are processing any of your personal data. In this case, the user may have access to their personal data and some information on how they are processed. In some cases you may ask us to provide you with an electronic copy of your data;

– right to rectification of personal data: where you are able to demonstrate that the personal data we hold concerning you is incorrect, you have the possibility to request the updating or rectification of such data;

– right to be forgotten/deletion of data: in certain circumstances, the user has the right to have their personal data deleted. The request can be submitted at any time; we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis whether it can be granted. However, this right is subject to legal rights or obligations that may require us to retain the data.

To the extent that the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legitimacy of any processing based on consent given before such withdrawal. It is also possible to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data with the Privacy Guarantor.

 

Marketing communications

We will only send marketing communications via email if you have consented to this. Typically the forms we use to collect personal data contain a box to tick if you wish to receive marketing communications. When we send marketing communications via email, you can opt out of receiving further communications by clicking “unsubscribe” or the opt-out feature in the email.
